Delaware Valley RSCDS: For Teachers

Bill Possi, who danced with us about 10 years ago sends an invitation to Delaware Valley teachers from the Dunedin Scottish Country Dancers, the largest RSCDS group in West Central Florida. If you are vacationing in the Dunedin area, they welcome teachers as seasonal instructors. The group’s official website is http://www.scottishdancefl.org/dunedin.html.

Resources for Teachers

Teacher Candidates

If you are considering attending TAC or St. Andrews to earn your teaching certificate in the summer, you are now required to pass the written portion of the exam before attending. Exams are proctored 3 times a year. See details about the new certification process. Contact Geoffrey, 215-248-5998, if you want to discuss becoming a Branch teacher.

Teacher Support

To thank the Branch's many hardworking teachers for their contribution to the vitality and growth of Scottish Country Dancing, the Executive Committee has decided to provide active teachers with several benefits. If you are carrying full or shared responsibility for a Branch Class:

  • The Branch will subsidize your membership in TAC
  • Class fees are waived

Cecily will give you reimbursement forms and vouchers to give the Treasurer.

The Delaware Valley Branch considers itself lucky to have such an extensive roster of talented and enthusiastic teachers, and the Executive Committee is delighted to be able to offer these gestures of appreciation to those so committed to keeping SCD alive!
